UK government spokeswoman says government intends to hold parliament Brexit vote on 14 February

UK government spokeswoman, Alison Donnelly, speaks to reporters

  • Government working towards vote on revised Brexit deal as soon as possible
  • Says that May will be trying to secure changes to the backstop in Brussels
  • Government position on customs union has not changed

Ugh, with European lawmakers not going to budge on their position with regards to the backstop and the UK maintaining that their red lines are not changed, how is there going to be a revised deal to be voted on?

50 days to go. Tick tock, tick tock.
